It’s a GIRL!! I have to admit that I had grown to assume it was a boy. Perhaps because everyone assumed it would be a boy. Or maybe because I thought it would be fun to have another little boy running around. Caleb is 7 now and it’s hard to remember what it was like.
But I did think it would be so great for Ana and Charlotte to have another sister. How lucky they are!! When they are grown, they will be so blessed to have each other to lean on. Even when two of them are fighting, there will be another to help them work it out.
I tried to point out to Caleb that he was lucky in the way that he would eventually get his own room, while the three girls will have to share the big room. And plus, he gets daddy all to himself when it comes to doing boy things. That’s assuming that one of the girls doesn’t turn out to be a tom-boy, which hasn’t appeared to have happened yet.
Poor Eliza will probably be hurt if she ever watches the video of us finding out she’s a girl. We were all expecting a boy. BUT, I have to say, I am so happy. SO happy! I’m actually surprised at what a good mood I am in. Maybe it’s partly because she has a heart beat and is measuring perfectly. But part of it, I know, is because I am imagining how fun it will be to raise three little girls so close in age! When they are pre-teens and teens we will drive around in our convertible VW Bug. Oh! Won’t we be so cute!? And I can make dresses and cute things for Ana and they will be worn for many, many years!
Yes, it will be so wonderful to have another little girl! Maybe this one will actually let me do her hair 🙂
