I can’t believe this is the first belly picture I’ve taken! Honestly, if this baby was a boy I’m not sure I’d even bother. But I think that Eliza will likely enjoy reading about my pregnancy with her because she’s a girl and girls care about silly things like that.
I had an issue with a toenail a few weeks ago and I couldn’t go to the gym for 2 weeks and oh boy! you did not want to be around me then! I was unreasonably emotional and Shane used the word “useless” to describe me on a few occasions. Somehow he managed to do this with the right timing and in the proper tone because I never took offense to it. But he was right. I was starting to feel… pregnant.
I’m feeling really good right now that I’m back at the gym though! I’m pretty sure when I was this far along with Charlotte, I had already outgrown a few of my pregnancy jeans. I’ve been quite productive and even though I’m still emotional, it’s at least reasonable.
I’ve got three craft projects going right now: two flannel pjs for Caleb, another Kiki (Waldorf) doll, and an insanely intricate applique quilt. I’ll soon be adding a felt doll and felt ice cream scoops and cone to the list. Just have to wait for my felt to arrive in the mail. It feels good to be off the computer and being productive with my hands.
I think crafting is my way of nesting. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t feel exhausted and beat down ALL THE TIME. And it makes me feel good to know that I’m taking good advantage of this motivation that I know with fade away at some point in the next few months.
