Caleb requested Spam Quesadillas for lunch. Before you scrunch up your nose in disgust, you should know that Spam is a delicacy in Hawaii. And if you want people from Hawaii to think you’re super cool, you better say you love Spam. A lot.
I also made strawberry smoothies. I put a couple spoonfuls of Ghirardelli Sweet Ground Chocolate in it.
Eliza loves it when Ana and Charlotte leave their yogurt trash on the floor.
The weather is turning a bit windy and chilly (low 60’s) but we still spent most of the day outside.
I hit the trails again yesterday! I went up higher this time, 254 ft. ascent. I was surprised I was able to go up so far jogging. I can’t wait to go again! But next I’m going to do The Hill and see how I’ve improved.
Two things of note during this run:
1. I was running with traffic and ran into a group of runners running against traffic. So, I guess I’m supposed to be running against traffic. I think this group was actually the Wednesday Night Laundry Runners, which is awesome because I just mailed out an application today to join the group!
2. As I was running I thought about how strange it is that I’ve had a bunch of kids and I don’t have issues with peeing my pants while I run. This would be totally normal and nothing of which to be ashamed, of course. So I talked about this with a friend who said we are just really weird like that. Most woman who have had a gaggle of kids, like we have, probably have this issue. So we’re just a couple of weirdos.
When I got home, Eliza missed me a bunch and wanted to cuddle while I stretched.
p.s. I’m not a weirdo. I peed my pants a little while I ran today.
Tell me how much you adore Spam.
Do you run with or against traffic?
Have you ever run with a running club?
How’s the weather where you are?
