If any of you are looking to lose a few pounds, my 2 year-old has a great diet for you! It goes like this…
1. Refuse to eat 90% of all foods.
2. Only eat about 25% of what’s on your plate.
3. Spit out 50% of what you put in your mouth.
By the way, she’s 2 years and 3 months and weighs 24 pounds. Her doctor insists that she’s okay because she has always been small. He gave me the best advice, which was that it is my job to put healthy food in front of her and her job to eat it. So I’m not supposed to feed her Goldfish for dinner just so she’ll get something in her stomach.
And Joanna pointed out that there’s not much to worry about until she’s lethargic and won’t play. Good point! But when I think about it this way, I wonder if she’s somehow sneaking into the jellybeans and constantly on a sugar rush. This would explain a lot.
