I’m back to running! Woohoo!! I’ve been doing small runs a little over 1 mile. I want to make sure I get enough rest to get over this cold.
I’ve been running with my new Merrell Pace Glove 2 shoes! I really love them! At first I felt a bit ungraceful with my feet slapping the ground. But I’ve since adjusted my stride so I land on the ball of my feet. Feels much more comfortable. Hopefully this isn’t really awful form and a great way to get an injury. Hmmm… maybe I should look that up.
I’ve mentioned how much I dislike running on the treadmill. I’ve figured out a plan I can live with. I’ve been doing just 1 mile in 10-11 minutes. My plan is to run for just 10 minutes but I’ll work on my speed. So I did 9 minutes at 5.8 mph and then 1 minute at 7 mph. That felt good actually.
My last road run was pretty awesome. I ran my first 0.5 mile at a 8:09 mi/min pace! And I didn’t stop until I was more than half way up The Hill.
But then, I didn’t feel so awesome. I need to find some other goal. Running up that hill is not fun. I had to run on my tiptoes. It was awkward.
Besides that, I’ve discovered that Eliza’s favorite food is strawberries. I couldn’t believe how happy she was. She kept laughing hysterically. Why didn’t I take a video!? Sorry Mom. It was super cute. Maybe I’ll try a redo tomorrow.
