I haven’t been running. I’m pretty out of shape right now. My pants are starting to get tight and I do more laundry so I’ll always have some clean yoga pants. The kind that have a waistband stretchy enough that it doesn’t cut into my belly when I sit… or stand… or lie down.
So anyway, a few days ago I took Eliza for a 2 mile bike ride. Two miles is not a long trek on a bike, but there are hills where I live. I can’t escape them. So it felt longer than 2 miles.
But look at her face! She was thrilled. So maybe we’ll do it again.
I also pulled out this quilt that I started… so many years ago. I think I actually started it when we lived in Manassas, VA. We moved from there in 2007. So yeah, it’s quite possible I started this quilt a decade ago!
I wanted to get it organized, make sure I have all the pieces, see how much work there is left, which is pretty much all of it. Well, it’s a big project. Sixty-three blocks. What was I thinking?? I’m not sure what I’m going to do. It feels a bit overwhelming. But then again, maybe if I do just one block a day, I’ll at least be making progress.
