Yay! First project is done! That feels good!
The only problem I had with this pattern was the ridiculously high waist. I ended up lowering it by 3.25″!! The good thing that came out of it though, is that I actually liked how sturdy the waistband end up. I didn’t cut the fabric, I just folded it over three times. I like it so much, I might actually incorporate it into all future pajamas.
Don’t you just love it when something seems like a pain or a mistake, but turns out to be very useful?
Since I really hate exposed seams and I have yet to find a space for the small serger my mom bought me, I did french seams on the inside leg.
If you don’t have this foot, you must MUST get it! It’s the Left Edge Topstitch Foot. It’s not that expensive and it will change your life. For real!
Look carefully. See how there is a groove at the underside of the foot? It catches the hem and you can sew at super speed and you get even, straight professional looking stitches!
If I was rich and I had lots of followers this is where I would announce my generous giveaway for a few of these feet. That’s how much I love it. But, it’s sad for you. ‘Cause I’m broke and you’ll have to buy your own. But I love you!
