It’s been over 2 weeks since we’ve seen Bella the cat. I am very sad about this. I didn’t realize how much I missed having a cat. And since I’ve had a lot of drama in my life recently, Shane agreed to let me adopt a cat from the SPCA for my Christmas present. It was either a cat or a new waffle maker that makes 4 waffles (not 2 like my current).
And here she is! Isn’t she cute!?
What? What’s that? You don’t think she looks like a cat!? Well it’s funny because it’s so true that if you allow it to happen, your pet will pick you.
We went back to the SPCA three days in a row and played with countless cats and spent time in the doggie visiting room with 6 different dogs. And Coco was the only one we all loved.
I think part of the reason why I’m so excited about her is because I’m not a dog person. I’ve been disgusted by dogs ever since the 3rd grade when I had a few unpleasant encounters with my good friend Elizabeth Harmon’s stinky Border Collie that always had about 6 inches of drool hanging from its mouth.
But I let Coco lick me on the face. I willingly let her do this. I dare say I actually find it cute! I’m pretty sure that’s love.
And how could we pass on how sweet she is with Ana? She’s 13 pounds and 7 months, so she won’t be getting much bigger. I think this is a great size for the little ones. She’ll jump on Charlotte to kiss her face and doesn’t knock her down. Although, we’ll still train her not to do that, it’s nice that she won’t knock the girls down in the mean time.
We’ll pick her up tomorrow after she’s been spayed. And unfortunately I won’t be able to take her to get groomed for 2 weeks. I can’t wait to see her all cleaned up!
