This is the last one for 2012 (finally!). I’ll be posting a summary at the end of each month with the FaceBook statuses from my personal account. It’s mostly for my mom, who doesn’t have an FB account, and also for me to add to our family scrapbook that I will start working on in about ten years. Or maybe fifteen.
I was cleaning the bathroom and I hear Charlotte screaming like she seriously injured herself. She was in the living room where the baby was sleeping so I rush in there and pick her up and say:
“What’s wrong!? Are you hurt?! Please stop screaming you’re going to wake the baby up! What’s wrong?!”
And she stops screaming and says perfectly calmly
Yogurt. She wanted yogurt.
And I wonder, was that really necessary?
Ana will only nap if I nap with her. So you see, I have no choice. I’m forced to nap every day.
I started eating breakfast and then realized its lunch time. Where does the time go?
I think I better stay away from the library for a while. I think I’ve racked up $50-60 in overdue fees this year.
I will never understand why little kids will walk around stiff-legged, holding their behind, but insist they don’t need to go #2.
According to Charlotte the iPad’s new name is MyPad.
For breakfast, I ate some of my breakfast. For lunch, I ate the rest of my breakfast.
Cooking with white wine tonight! Woohoo!!
Eliza has no stamina. We were up last night at 11:45, 1:30, 3:00, 5:00 and 5:45. Now she’s exhausted. Light weight!
Went to a huge mall in San Jose with the kids today. A week before Christmas. And I’m happy to let you know we survived and are now watching the last season of Entourage with beer and wine in hand.
Was up with Eliza last night at 11:00, 3:00, 4:30, 5:00 and 6:00. Struggling to find the humor in it this morning.
So thankful for my awesome neighbors! Last week I forgot to pick Caleb up on the early day and a neighbor brought him home. Today I locked my keys in the van and another neighbor is bringing Caleb home. Really looking forward to being well rested and with it.
No homework for Caleb this week!! So happy we can play Legos everyday after school!
No naps today. ugh.
Caleb said “Can I play my 3DS instead of playing Legos?” I was slow to answer so he said “If it’s too sad for you I can play with you but I kinda want to go play my 3DS.”
And the first glass ball ornament bites the dust!
I wonder how much money we spend on coffee each month…
I don’t have a hand mixer. How is that possible?
Shane is officially off for the next 12 days!!! I might actually get around to folding those four loads of laundry tomorrow!
Really must get motivated to go out in the soggy sad weather and finish Christmas shopping…
Officially done with Christmas shopping! It’s way too much fun shopping for the kids.
I think Santa will be delivering some unwrapped presents this year.
I really wanted Shane to go out “somewhere” to get a break from his “vacation” at home (and maybe he was driving me a little nuts too). So now he’s at Sears looking for a new TV. Thinking I should have thought that out a little better.
Anne of Green Gables for movie night! I love that all I have to do is tell Caleb about how Anne smashes a chalk board on Gill’s head and lets a mouse into the pudding and he’s excited to watch it.
Waiting in line is actually a pleasant experience when you have an iPhone and no kids.
Shane gave me a choice of watching the Cowboys game or Expendables 2. I think he’s trying to punish me for choosing Anne of Green Gables last night.
