Today I did Couch to 5K week 1 day 3. There are three workouts per week. I’ll be doing the first two at the gym (Tues and Thurs) and then the third (Sat or Sun) will be around my neighborhood.
Usually I run in Pebble Beach where it is relatively flat. But I decided to make my weekend run all about hills. I’m one of those crazies that likes to run hills. I like the challenge. Some people like the challenge of running a marathon. Not me. The only marathon I would ever consider running is the Great Wall Marathon. That would be awesome!
There is one hill in my neighborhood that I want to conquer.
Hey. Where did the road go?
I first jogged down, then walked a little and headed back for the hill. I decided to walk up. It would be good to start off easy.
I didn’t make it. I felt like I was going to vomit. Back down I went.
Oh well, it’ll be that much sweeter when I’m able to run up the entire way.
I managed to go over the 2 mile mark! I’m pretty jazzed about that. Never mind the 14 min/mi average. Let’s focus on the positive.
And my most delicious post-run snack. Triscuits with cheese, yogurt and coconut.
