Poor Eliza has been sick. She’s been waking up from her naps like this. So sad. Red puffy eyes.
But she tries to be in a good mood. What a happy girl. I love this kid.
I went for a run with the jogging stroller! I can’t believe I forgot to take a picture. But it’s a double stroller. I had Eliza and Charlotte in it. Ana was at my neighbor’s and Caleb “ran” with me.
He hasn’t been wanting to run with me for some reason. I think the novelty of hanging out with mom has worn off now that we’re always together. Every straight away, I ran ahead and then waited for him to catch up by walking. I still got a pretty good workout pushing that stroller uphill.
When we got home, I made them all ice cream and told Caleb he did a good job and that we would eat ice cream after every run. And the more he runs, the more ice cream he’ll get. He was pretty happy about that. So we’ll see if that improves his attitude for the next time.
I’m pretty sure if my coaches in high school gave us ice cream after every practice we would have been the best cross-country team on the island.
The girls were famished from riding in the stroller (Charlotte) and coloring (Ana) so the ice cream hit the spot.
Eliza was totally bummed that the ride was over but the ice cream cheered her up.
One of the main reasons I have continued to run is because I have amazing people supporting me. Shane helps with the kids and also pumps me up when I have a big run. And my good friend Joanna, who’s had a bunch of kids too, is doing the Couch to 5K program with me. I love her and without my friend, I’m pretty sure I would have already given up.
Here’s proof of how awesome she is…
