We’re pretty darn lucky we live so close to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We have season passes and used to go a lot but with each kid we add to our family, we go less and less.
I’ve been too scared to venture out there with all four kids and no adult backup. The girls are so young and Caleb has been known to instigate chaos.
But with the new school year starting, I think it’s time for me to make it work. I’d like to take the kids out for a field trip every other friday and to the library on the alternate fridays. We’ll do “regular” school monday through thursday.
We made it 1.5 hours before the kids started getting grumpy and we had to leave. But that was partly my fault for not packing enough snacks.
We stayed out of the dark areas where they keep the seahorses and jellyfish. I’d surely lose someone in there. We went last weekend when my dad was here. But even still, with three adults and four kids (one of which was strapped down in a stroller) we lost Ana at one point for a minute.
I should go there one day by myself cause I love staring at these jellyfish.
