I’m taking a few classes at the local community college. I’m excited because Eliza will be starting school in the Fall, but currently she is going to preschool three times a week. We’re all entering a new phase in life. I like change.
I’m taking 5 classes but the way it works out is that I’ll only be taking 9 or 10 credits at a time. I’m taking Entrepreneurship, Professional Selling, Fitness and Wellness Strategies, Intro to Piano, and Comics as Literature. Sounds like fun, huh?!
I’m already into the third week. I’ve been learning some fun things and felt like I want to blog about it so I can remember or because I like talking about things that I find interesting.
The thing that’s on my mind right now is my Wellness class. We had to pick a behavior change based on a lifestyle questionnaire. I decided to pick “drinking wine” as my behavior change. As in, I want to stop. I drink way too much and I don’t have the control over it that I want. I also think it’s an obstacle to other things I’d like to accomplish.
My current plan is over 5 weeks. It looks like this…
Week 1: drink no more than 1 glass of wine a night.
Week 2: drink no more than 1 glass of wine a night, no more than 5 times during the week.
Week 3: drink no more than 1 glass of wine a night, no more than 4 times during the week.
Week 4: drink no more than 1 glass of wine a night, no more than 3 times during the week.
Week 5: drink no more than 1 glass of wine a night, no more than 2 times during the week.
I’ve made it three days into week 1, and so far so good.
