I first saw these Little Green Pouches on a review over at Tutus and Tea Parties. I was so excited about this! My kids love the food pouches, but I rarely buy them because when you’re handing three out at a time and they all beg for seconds, it gets expensive real quick.
The company sent me a pack to try out for review and I’m so glad they did because now I can tell you all how awesome they are!
I gave the kids applesauce a few times and I love that these pouches fit 6 oz. I discovered that there are other reusable food pouches on the market, but as far as I can tell, they only offer 2.5 oz to 4.5 oz. sizes.
I made an impromptu strawberry smoothie that thankfully turned out really well. The kids devoured it.
8 oz. frozen strawberries, 1/2 banana, 6 oz. Greek yogurt, 1 cup Vanilla soy milk and 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder.
The company suggests using a funnel when filling the pouch, but I don’t have one with a wide enough spout. I found that propping it up in a mug and pouring or spooning the food into it is easy enough.
The girls enjoying their smoothies. Caleb was off somewhere else eating his.
Charlotte is 2.5 yo so she did squeeze the pouch a little too hard and got some on her pants.
Coco was pretty jazzed about that.
So my verdict is that these Little Green Pouches rock! I’ll definitely be buying more.
- Much cheaper than buying prepackaged pouches
- Holds more food than prepackaged pouches
- No trash created (unless your dog gets involved – see below)
- Can be frozen
- Younger kids will probably get confused and try to throw the pouch away (mine did at least)
- Not dog-proof 🙂
And because I love you guys so much, I’m giving away a 4-pack of these awesome Little Green Pouches! Just leave a comment and then enter your name in the RaffleCopter widget. (This giveaway is sponsored by me, not the company.)
