I was feeling a little down last week. I wasn’t sure why and I always feel a little guilty when I do feel down. I have a wonderful life and I really should be happy and thankful all the time. But then Shane pointed out that Charlotte has been waking up a lot more at night and I haven’t been getting much sleep. And I’m prone to whining when I’m tired.
In an attempt to snap myself out of it. I decided to work on a simple project. I wanted to make a new pair of car seat straps. Something more girly than the pair we currently use.
Well, it was a total disaster. Apparently, I’ve forgotten how to sew.
So, then I decided to stick to what I know. Quilting makes sense to me. And it doesn’t involve zippers, velcro, or elastic.
I settled on a very simple design for the Monaluna Monaco fabric. It’s so cute, it would be a waste to complicate it with an intricate design.
This is the first row of six. It’ll end up being a crib-size quilt. And I knew it was meant to be when I found a crib-size batting in my stash… and it’s 100% organic batting! I’m feeling better now 🙂
