I don’t blog about Ana as much as Caleb and Charlotte. Ana is sweet and adorable. Caleb and Charlotte are
bossy independent and trouble-makers curious. They are funny. Ana doesn’t do funny things, she does cute things.
But I really feel that poor Ana deserves some bloggy attention too. And so here goes…
Many times when I feed Eliza, Ana will rest her head on my arm and pet Eliza’s hair while repeating “Cute wittle baby.”.
She is naturally obedient. She almost always asks permission to leave the table. This is not something we’ve ever tried to teach the kids. She just started doing it on her own.
She will randomly draw pictures for her Granny and then carefully fold and tape it up.
If I give her a snack when Charlotte is not around, she’ll ask for more so she can take it to her.
She’s unbelievably reasonable for a 3 year old. When she does throw a tantrum, we rarely have to go so far as to put her in time-out. We just explain the situation (if she doesn’t calm down/appoligize/share, she’ll go into time-out) and she’ll obey.
When another kid does something mean to her and they are told to apologize, she almost always tells them “I’m sorry.”. And sometimes she does it before the kid who actually made the offense!
She does steal toys away from Charlotte and throws a tantrum if Caleb starts playing with her big stuffed bear that Grandpa bought for her, but these incidents are noticeably less frequent than her displays of cuteness.
