Let me start off by saying… She’s okay. It looks a lot worse than it really was.
I had the kids playing outside while I was trying to hangout with some bloggy friends on Google+. Charlotte was sitting on Caleb’s skateboard and lost her balance and smacked her forehead on the street. I knew from her cry that it wasn’t that serious, but as I was heading toward her, I saw blood.
She saw Ana following me and then very quickly got right back on the skateboard and yelled “No Ana!! Mine!!!”
I had to pull her off the skateboard. She protested and wouldn’t take her eyes off Ana. This is what she looked like…
I purposely made this photo teeny because I realize how horrifying it looks. You’re welcome.
It was actually a small cut. But I think it was deep cause our street is a little rocky. I cleaned it up, put a Barbie bandaid on her forehead, fed her Doritos with lunch and she was all better.
I went to the gym earlier than usual to do my run before my trainer appointment. But we got there a little late so I didn’t get to finish. But I did my longest stretch on the treadmill! Eight minutes! It’s going to be awesome in a few weeks when doing 8 minutes is nothing. I’m going to do two 10 minute stretches on Thursday!
I actually did 20 minutes non-stop outside on Sunday. It’s so much harder to run on a treadmill. I just don’t find What Not to Wear or Jodi Arias on CNN as distracting as the gorgeous Pebble Beach scenery.
We stopped at the produce market after the gym. I got a butternut squash, 4 bananas, 2 lb. strawberries, romaine lettuce, red leaf lettuce, 2 avocados, 1/4 lb. snow peas and bag of baby carrots for $13! (We had eaten some of it before I took this pic)
I had some of my chicken and rice as soon as we got home. Well, after I chatted with a friend who dropped off her son to play with Caleb, fed Eliza, changed Eliza, put Eliza down for a nap, washed strawberries for Ana, got Caleb a snack, got Eliza because she wouldn’t go to sleep and then I at my chicken and rice. It’s brown rice, chicken, red potatoes and peas.
I’ve been making a pot of this every Sunday. It has really helped me to eat better. All I have to do is warm it up and best of all, the kids don’t really like it so they don’t end up eating all of my food.
Then I had some of these. If you haven’t had some of these, I feel really sad for you.
