A funny thing happened last weekend. I got really stressed and overwhelmed and upset and decided that I wasn’t going to blog or run for a few weeks. hahahaha… That last three days before I had to run. It just feels weird to not run. As hard as I try, I just can’t NOT run. And that makes me very happy.
I started to watch House of Cards on Netflix. It helped me get through those 6 easy miles. I also finished Hungry for Change. I highly recommend this documentary. It has some interesting points about why we eat the things we do and has interviews with several people who have had very unhealthy eating habits but have changed. It’s definitely biased and a little kooky in some parts, but I think it’s a view point that has been missing from society. It’s important to see all sides so we can form our own educated opinions about how we should be feeding ourselves. It’s a lot of information so I’ll likely watch it again.
I was able to do the Stairway to Heaven on Sunday!! It’s been a about two months since I was last there. I went up 4 times but only ran 1.5. My calves and quads were burning so bad and I didn’t want to over do it. But turns out I did overdo it because it is now Tuesday and it was painful to get out of bed this morning. I’m hoping it will loosen up by the evening so I can do a few easy miles. Why oh why do I love these torturous steps so much?! What fitness activity do you love that most people dislike?
