It’s been a long time since I took Charlotte and Eliza on a hike while Caleb and Ana are at school. Originally, I decided to go to Point Lobos but couldn’t purchase the annual pass I wanted so we headed over to Carmel Valley.
First stop was Earthbound farms. We shared a fancy Organic Buttermilk Blueberry Muffin.
Then the girls ran around the rock maze.
It made me so happy to see signs of Spring!
Next we headed over to Garland Ranch. We didn’t stay long because it was very hot for my Pacific Grove Natives. A scorcher at a sunny 72 degrees.
I haven’t taken the girls out on an adventure in a while because I’ve been busy with my new Journey to Become a Librarian obsession. But things are settling into place now and I’m feeling calm enough to orchestrate more outings. I always forget how going on these hikes clears my head. I guess it’s the preparation that is necessary (pack snacks, water, diapers, first aid kit, etc.) that makes it feel overwhelming. I just need to remember that it is so worth it.
Here’s a little video I made on the iMovie app. I’m so happy with it! I’ll be making more for sure.
