This little cutie woke me up at 5 o’clock this morning. Thanks a lot, Day Light Saving time. After enduring her constant questions and chatter for some time, everyone else was still sleeping and I was really starting to not enjoy my life. So I knew we had to get out of the house.
We stopped at Starbucks for a coffee and chocolate chip muffin.
Then headed over to Asilomar for a walk. It was a gorgeous morning, not too cold. And the birds were out in force! There must have been a lot of fish out there.
We went home, I grabbed my Nikon, and headed back out with Charlotte.
She had fun finding treasures in the sand.
My next hobby needs to be bird watching because I have no idea what most of these are. See the surfers out there? Crazy dudes! That water is frigid.
There were so many pelicans, which I just love to watch. They were diving into the water to fish! Unfortunately, my photography skills need some work, so I wasn’t able to capture it.
Pelicans like to surf too.
Love those kind of smiles.
This is where dreams are thought up.
Even pelicans like to dream.
So many birds!
I was busy taking pictures of the pelicans, when Charlotte said “that bird has a fish!!” It did indeed! And those two birds were keenly aware.
“I’m just resting, don’t mind me,” thinks the brown gull.
“I’m just daydreaming, don’t mind me,” thinks the white gull.
“These guys are up to something, I better eat this thing up!”
“I think I can…. mmfffhhh… fit it… mmfffhhh… all… mmfffhhh…”
“Oh, forget it.”
“WHAT THE??!! I knew it!!! NNOOOO, it’s mine!!”
“YOU JERK!! That was MY fish!!” (fish catcher)
“Whoa Buddy, I ain’t got nuthin'” (white gull)
“See ya, sucker!!” (brown gull)
“AGGHHHH!! GET OUT OF HERE, JERK!!”
