Baby is doing great! We got to see a quick ultrasound and hear the heart beat. I talked to the doctor about weaning Ana and she thought it was a good idea. She also suggested I start exercising again. But, not joining the gym or something dramatic like that, just going for a daily walk. That sounds easy enough and Caleb will probably enjoy riding his bike around.
I’m already starting to feel like my normal self. I still haven’t dried up completely, but I’m pretty sure my body has stopped producing milk. I hope this is going to solve most of my emotional issues. It really sucks to be crazy 😉
I really think that I’ve been feeling the baby move over the past week or so. I know it’s really early at 13 weeks, but I did feel Caleb for the first time at 14 weeks. Ana was a bit later, at around 16 weeks, I think. Hmmm… I wonder if this means it’ll be another rambunctious boy! At least we’ll be prepared this time. Or so I’d like to think, haha.
I’m really feeling hopeful about feeling good and starting to take better care of myself. It’s been hard for me to concentrate on anything let alone my health, which I’m sure has just exacerbated the emotion issue. I’ll stop eating Sausage McMuffins and hash browns, Doritos, cookies and french fries drowned in ranch dressing. I’ll start eating more fruits and vegetables, which are starting to come into season! Watermelon! Peaches! Artichokes! Asparagus! Yum! And also eating more salads. I naturally prefer healthy food over junk, but I’ve been overindulging in all my misery. And seeing that I’ve gained zero pounds in the past four weeks, my diet could probably use some attention.
It’s hard to make good decisions when you’re sad, isn’t it?
I’m also really looking forward to my belly filling out. I really love having that huge round and taut belly. Let’s face it, at this point it’s really the only time I’ll have a firm belly 🙂 I love rubbing it and love how it keeps me warm. Cause you know, sometimes I just get so sick of the temperature perpetually being 60 degrees here. I’m always cold, it seems. Hmmm… maybe I need to knit me more wool sweaters 🙂
